FAQ: FAQ

How has your service model changed since COVID-19?

My clients' safety is my top priority and I'm wishing you all health and wellness in this challenging time. All sessions have now moved live video sessions via Zoom. I am also offering $10 off all sessions during quarantine to help offset financial burden. I am happy to provide free Zoom coaching after your first paid booking for those new to Zoom.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time I accept private pay only. Payments are accepted through my website or through venmo, zelle, or apple pay. I strongly advise you to contact your insurance and see if they would be willing to reimburse you for services paid out of pocket and please let me know as soon as you can if your insurance requires receipts for reimbursement.

What does teletherapy via Zoom look like? How does it differ from in-person therapy?

Teletherapy offers many benefits including providing a natural, comfortable, familiar, and safe environment for your child to learn and practice new skills. Research also suggests it can be even more effective for parent coaching and for young toddlers to make progress as parents are practicing "being the speech therapist themselves" while being coached live.

This can have exponential benefits for your child as you could be effectively practicing speech strategies during daily activities and routines. Teletherapy offers effective therapy for the following: apraxia, stuttering and fluency, reading readiness, language disorders, speech sound disorders, auditory processing, and hearing loss/auditory verbal therapy. Schedule your free phone consult today to see if teletherapy is a good fit for you and your family during this time.
